Look Chic On & Off the Slopes with These Outerwear Brands

Within the sheer joy of skiing, there's a fascinating world of style on and off the slopes. It's captivating to see how everyone's individual fashion sense plays a significant role in every aspect, from the cozy base layers and jackets down to the goggles and skis, truly turning the mountains into a runway.

It makes me wonder, why is it that personal style is so apparent on the mountain? Could it be the thrill of skiing that takes center stage, making fashion a delightful afterthought rather than the focus, resulting in a celebration of individualism? Or perhaps it's the mix of styles from skiers worldwide that adds an intriguing charm. It's a little mystery that only adds to the allure of skiing through the eyes of a fashion admirer.

For those who share my passion for skiing and fashion, I've compiled a guide to help you discover some of the best ski gear that effortlessly combines style on and off the slopes. Whether you're skiing at your local mountain, out West, or in the picturesque landscapes of Switzerland <3, this guide has got you covered, including some of my linked personal favorites from each brand!

CORDOVA:

With its classic and effortless style, Cordova invites women to grace the slopes in their meticulously tailored ski gear. Founders Jane and Cody Seim share the sentiment that the mountains embody escapism, freedom, and creativity, inspiring them to establish a brand that stands out amidst the snow-covered peaks. One of my favorite aspects of Cordova is that every piece throughout the entire brand is cohesive and crafted with quality resources. Elevating the basics through unique materials and subtle design elements is what Cordova does best!

BOGNER:

Over 90 years old, Bogner is a heritage ski brand created by Willy Bogner, a former alpine ski racer, designer, and filmmaker. By combining traditional craftsmanship techniques with modern technology, Bogner has become a symbol of timeless ski gear. Notable collaborations with brands like Love Shack Fancy, Fred Segal, and James Bond further emphasize Bogner's commitment to creating quality and enduring skiwear.

MONCLER:

I'm sure many of you are familiar with Moncler, but for those who aren't, it's definitely a brand worth exploring for ski attire! Originally created in 1952, Moncler's button-up jacket was designed to protect workers from harsh weather conditions. Over the years, it has evolved into what it is today—a luxury outerwear fashion brand. Moncler has even collaborated with some of the most renowned fashion brands such as Valentino, Rick Owens, and Adidas. If there's one brand to admire for its evolution and consistency within outerwear, it's Moncler<3

SWEATY BETTY:

Who doesn’t love a cute base layer, especially when it’s cute and keeps you warm as well! Based in Notting Hill, UK, Sweaty Betty creates activewear for women all around the world. It’s the perfect place to find your base layers for your skiing adventure!

GOLDBERGH:

Discovered through one of my favorite YouTubers, Goldbergh emerges as Instagram's hottest ski brand that lives up to its popularity! Goldbergh is a sportswear sensation, unlike anything I've seen before, merging high fashion with sportswear through its distinctive silhouettes and craftsmanship. With a clear mission of empowering women to express themselves through their gear, ensuring they can live authentically—a commitment that seamlessly extends— is why this brand is a fan favorite<3

HESTRA:

Hestra is a fourth-generation glove brand that has been around for over 80 years! Each glove is manufactured, designed, and sourced in Sweden to ensure that it reaches its highest level of quality. With gloves ranging from lightweight to double-lined in the finest fleeces and wools, Hestra is truly one of the best glove brands to shop at and be a part of their legacy<3

PERFECT MOMENT:

Founded in 1984, Perfect Moment creates skiwear for women, men, and kids, blending technical excellence with fashion-led designs. The result? Pieces that effortlessly transition from the slopes to town! With bold patterns and prints, Perfect Moment not only allows personal style to flourish on the slopes but also ensures the use of quality materials. What I love most about this brand is that, whether you're seeking a statement piece or a chic and classy look, Perfect Moment is the go-to brand. This is especially true in skiing, where the joy of the sport can be expressed not only in your moves but also in your vibrant and expressive attire—a fantastic way to showcase your personal style!

ARC’TERYX:

Canadian outerwear brand that has risen to the forefront in recent years as the gorp-core trend has arisen, redefining high-performance clothing and incorporating it into everyday wear. One thing about Arc’teryx that I truly admire is that it’s my go-to brand when looking for pieces that I believe in and trust due to being made solely for extreme weather conditions and sports.

FUSALP:

Your one-stop quality shop for all things on and off the slopes! Started in the French Alps, Creative Director Mathilde Lacoste creates contemporary collections for both winter and summer, focusing on the core beliefs of the brand: elegance and functionality. Fusalp is a brand that excels in elegance, especially with the quilting patterns on certain garments; they feel very intentional and well-thought-out. I can imagine a refined, sleek French woman wearing this brand and just looking effortlessly classy, as she always does<3

I hope you found some new brands or pieces to shop at for your upcoming ski trip within this post!
