6 Brands to Keep on Your Radar: Fashion, Accessories, & Shoes<3

One of my favorite hobbies is discovering brands and designers that I genuinely believe will make a significant impact in the industry. After thorough research, I'm excited to share some of my recent favorite finds that I believe are destined for future success, take a look!

NICKLAS SKOVGAARD:

A standout designer on my must-watch list! Based in Copenhagen, Nicklas captures the hearts of niche fashion enthusiasts by drawing on the nuances of romanticism and realism. His venture into the fashion realm started in 2020 with a unexpected discovery of a loom found at a local thrift store during a holiday. Captivated by the art of weaving and creating, this unexpected find became the catalyst for Nicklas's transformation into a designer, redefining the landscape for emerging talents.

What sets Nicklas apart is his refreshing approach, showing that the path to success in the fashion industry is as varied as the designs he creates. His fondness for 1920s and 1980s silhouettes is evident throughout his work, yet he reinvents these classic forms using new materials, textiles, and combing a variety of silhouettes. There's a vintage allure in his designs that seamlessly resonates with modern society - a quality I immensely admire. What I love most about Nicklas as a designer is that he possesses a rare gift for translating his inspirations into effortlessly chic, modern pieces.

I highly recommend watching the brands debut runway show that happened last fashion week, it’s beautiful, theatrical, and innovative <3

ALMADA LABEL:

Releasing drops instead of sticking to seasonal launches, Almada Label emerges as a luxury knitwear brand that deserves everyone’s attention. Founded by Alexa Dagmar and Linda Juhola, these Finnish fashion influencers have crafted one of the most transparent brands I’ve ever come across, especially when it comes to materials, manufacturing, costs, and sustainability. By working closely with their suppliers, they ensure that each garment makes a positive impact on the world while maintaining a luxurious standard.

Alexa and Linda embarked on this journey to solve their endless search for classic yet accessible garments without compromising on quality. Almada Label truly embodies timelessness and effortless simplicity. What I adore most about this brand is the genuine thought and care are evident in every aspect of their work. It's clear that their commitment is intentional and of high quality. Their dedication not only makes me admire the brand but also fuels my desire to support and be part of their brand for the long haul. Alexa and Linda’s inventive care for their products, transparent approach, and commitment to craftsmanship have truly drawn me in.

As a knitwear dork, I highly recommend checking out this brand<3

FIDAN NOVRUZO:

Following her graduation from Central Saint Martins, Fidan Novruzo’s brand soared into the spotlight as celebrities like Bella Hadid and FKA Twigs wore her footwear designs, capturing widespread attention to the brand. Though her brand isn’t just about footwear, her clothing is just as extraordinary. With nods to the 1920s and 1980s, Fidan adds a sci-fi twist to her inspiration while intertwining elements from her Azerbaijani heritage.

Constantly driven by the idea of reshaping modern nostalgia, Fidan keeps this notion at the forefront of her design process when creating new pieces. For me, Fidan Novruzo's brand is a must-watch, especially for her remarkable shoes—sharp, elegant, and possessing a distinct character.

I'm genuinely excited to see what more this brand has in store for the near future!

MARK KENLY DOMINO TAN:

Launched in 2014, Mark Kenly Domino Tan embarked on a mission to craft exciting and refined collections rooted in bespoke tailoring, construction, and textiles. The brand aims to create investment pieces that exude elegance and class without overcomplicating fashion. Emphasizing a 'slowly created wardrobe,' MKDT consistently delivers each season.

With its showcase at Copenhagen Fashion Week, the brand's potential feels boundless, hinting at a larger impact if it were to grace an event like New York Fashion Week. Beyond its impeccable women's line, MKDT's menswear collection carries the same essence—classic, sophisticated, and effortlessly chic.

VIRGINIA EVANGELISTA:

With a passion for paleontology and biology, Virginia Evangelista draws inspiration from fossils and ancient objects to craft jewelry, cutlery, belts, and homeware. Embracing a dystopian visual style, this brand is deeply rooted in ancient casting techniques, including cuttlefish bone casting and lost wax casting. Simultaneously, it harnesses modern technological advancements to create exquisitely crafted pieces.

Each piece, meticulously handmade from recycled materials, is released in drops of twenty. What truly resonates with me about this brand is Virginia's ability to craft an entire universe that transcends any single niche. I'm thrilled to witness this world evolve even further, especially through collaborations with renowned brands like Marine Serre or Rick Owens.

The cutlery is to die for, who couldn’t resist a spork!

DILARA FINDIKOGLU:

The level of admiration I hold for Dilara is immeasurable. Since graduating from Central Saint Martins, Dilara Findikoglu has truly caught the eye of fashion enthusiasts and celebrities. Her unique take on fashion and the way she brings her designs to life has turned her into a favorite among the pages of Vogue, I-D, and other media outlets. She draws inspiration from her childhood in Istanbul, blending artisan traditions with a touch of punk, resulting in designs that are not just inspiring but also crafted with exquisite couture and craftsmanship.

Her inspirations extend far beyond her upbringing and are influenced by legendary designers like Alexander McQueen. What strikes me most is her ability to draw from these iconic works and create something entirely new and invigorating, all while paying homage to the essence of the original designs. In my view, Dilara's talent could have seamlessly taken on the role of creative director at McQueen after Sarah Burton's title. Dilara Findikoglu is a brand and designer destined to leave a lasting mark on the pages of fashion history. <3
